In 2021, Billy Jean started bringing her first performances.One of her earliest acts was a Natalia medley: energetic, powerful and completely focused on performance.These were the first steps of an artist who still had a lot to discover, but who immediately knew that the stage was where she belonged.

The early period was all about experimenting, learning and growing.Billy Jean developed her own image, got to know her audience and started to pay more and more attention to the full experience of a performance.Not only the song had to be right: the structure, facial expressions, choreography, costumes and emotion also had to form one story.

Performances soon followed at various events and in LGBTQIA+ locations in Flanders.Billy Jean built a network within the drag world, collaborated with other artists and began to reach a larger audience.

The next major award followed when Billy Jean was elected Miss Transvestie Antwerp 2023–2024.It was not only a title, but also recognition for the work she had done in a short time.

As Miss Transvestite Antwerp, Billy Jean represented a world in which glamor and entertainment go hand in hand with visibility, pride and solidarity.The organization later publicly described her as a Miss of whom they were particularly proud.The title brought new stages, contacts and opportunities, but also responsibility.Billy Jean wanted to use her title to bring people together and show that everyone has the right to be themselves.

Her performances became bigger and more professional.She continued to work on her dance technique and created acts in which recognizable music was combined with costumes, choreography and emotion.Tribute acts became an important part of her repertoire, with Billy Jean not simply imitating famous artists, but translating their music into her own drag world.

For about three years, Billy Jean became a regular and beloved face at Cabaret Magiq in Hamme.In this dinner show environment she was able to combine her different qualities: performing, making contact with the audience and collaborating with other artists.

Cabaret Magiq became an important training ground.Billy Jean was able to appear on stage regularly and evolve from a novice performer to an experienced entertainer.She was part of various theme shows and extravaganzas, with music from various periods and styles.

Billy Jean also used her fame to support others.Under the name Billy Jean Has a Mission, she organized shows and activities with a purpose.For example, drag bingos were set up to benefit her participation in Miss Travestie Belgium, with guest appearances and attention to solidarity and collaboration.

On September 6, 2025, Billy Jean returned to Geraardsbergen with Billy Has a Mission for their own drag show in the De Reep hall.It was the next step in her development as an organizer and producer of her own events.

In addition to solo projects, Billy Jean regularly collaborated with fellow artists.She was on stage with Ivana, Lady Gwen, May B, Ashley Foxx, Tiky Bayo, Danity Grace, Kylie Sparx, Thalia, Chatteloe and Megan Schoonbrood, among others.

On May 3, 2026, Billy Jean celebrated her birthday and her first five years on stage with a Bday Bash at the Hessenhuis in Antwerp.That celebration marked the start of an anniversary year in which she consciously looked back on her path, but above all wanted to continue moving forward.

The sentence Five years on stage… and this is just the beginning became the perfect summary of that moment.

In the same year, Billy Jean joined Grandé Drag Agency, with which she further positioned herself professionally for shows, Pride events, nightlife, galas, brunches, company parties and private events.It was the next step in the expansion of Billy Jean as a professional brand within the entertainment world.

In the meantime, Billy Entertainment also grew around Billy Jean: a professional framework for shows, hosting, drag bingos, quizzes, Pride projects and tailor-made events.

Michaël Sanchez from Blue Bridge plays an important role in this further professional development.With his support and creative input, he also helped to visually shape the world of Billy Jean, including through the development of the website and the design of flyers, posters and other promotional materials.Billy Jean is particularly grateful for his trust, commitment and the wonderful work he has already completed.

Billy Jean positions himself as more than a drag queen who performs a few songs.She is a performer, presenter, hostess, organizer and entertainer.From an intimate private party to a large Pride stage: the audience experience is always central.

Her musical ambitions also continued to grow.In addition to her work as a drag artist, Michaël took his first steps as a DJ under the name DJ Billy J. Music, performance and visual presentation are therefore increasingly flowing together within one artistic world.

Billy Jean's story is not just a success story.The past five years also brought doubts, disappointments, changes and moments when new direction had to be sought.Not every collaboration lasted, not every performance went as hoped and not every dream came true immediately.

But that is precisely where Billy Jean's strength lies.

She stopped.

She kept learning.

She kept creating.

And she continued to believe that an artist is not shaped by one title, one competition or one big performance, but by everything that happens along the way.

In five years, Billy Jean grew from a novice performer with a big dream to an award-winning drag artist, two-time finalist of Miss Travestie Belgium, Miss Travestie Antwerp, television personality, Pride performer, presenter and organizer of her own shows.

Yet her greatest achievement may not lie in the titles or the awards.It lies in the people she has touched along the way.In the audience that laughed, sang along or was moved.In colleagues who became friends.In collaborations from which new ideas emerged.And in everyone who was allowed to feel freer, stronger or more beautiful thanks to Billy Jean.

Five years of Billy Jean is therefore not just a retrospective.It is proof that a dream can grow when you continue to nourish it with passion, discipline and love.

Billy Jean started on May 2, 2021 with one first step on stage.Five years later, she's still standing — bigger, stronger and more confident than ever.
